Judy LaDivina
Panel, Immigrants: We Get The Job Done! Migration and Drag Culture
Judy LaDivina first came to life in late December of 2015. With a strong foundation in performing arts, she is a fully trained choreographer and a lip sync extraordinaire in more than 35 languages.
Berlin was also the birthplace of her first solo, one queen theatrical production, ‘Letters from the Future’ in Neukölln’s queer hotspot Silver Future. Currently you can find Judy every Wednesday at zum schmutzigen Hobby and every second Monday of the month at Silver Future celebrating her Mediterranean roots in an authentic Hafla realness alongside the gorgeous belly dancer Haidar A. Darwish.
At a new piece from Deutsches Theater Berlin “Ugly Duckling”, she is sharing the stage with brave and fierce queer performers, bringing their autobiographies to the front of the theater stage. Most importantly Judy is the proud mother of dragoholic_berlin, a monthly meeting for those of us who are unapologetically addicted to drag and an empowering platform for baby kings and queens to be born. As a strong believer in the power of visibility and solidarity within our community, Judy considers herself to be a soldier in the army of love!
