Dai Burger

Dai Burger

Mixing bourbon with acid, psychedelic rap diva Dai (pronounced “Day”) Burger creates a sexually charged, technicolor soundscape by combining the unapologetic bite of 2000s Hip Hop with the lighthearted fun of ‘70s Gogo. From the club cuts on her breakout “In Ya Mouf” mixtape to the empowerment anthems and starry R&B cuts on 2017’s critically acclaimed “Soft Serve,” Dai’s diverse body of work highlights both her sonic range and ability to maintain a distinct sense of self throughout. 2019’s upcoming “Bite the Burger” promises to take that unique sound and larger-than life attitude to new heights.

In addition to perennial top-billing at Pride festivals from New York to San Francisco, Portland, Austin, and beyond, Dai embarked on a North American co-headlining tour in 2018 and an Australian solo tour in 2017. That same year, she also founded an organization to mentor young women interested in pursuing careers in music, called “Where My Girls” after her feminist dance hit. With that same song landing prominent placement in 2019’s Hollywood blockbuster “Little” starring Issa Rae and syncs on HBO’s “Animals” and Netflix’s “Dear White People,” 2019 is shaping up to be a career-shifting year for the Queens, NY native.
